Contemporary textile hub

Textile designers, who otherwise work independently in the field of design, collaborate within the Kreativnice Contemporary Textile Center as a collective through joint presentations, exhibitions, various projects, and events. In recent years, they have created a series of large-scale textile works: Forest (2021), River (2021), Earth, Seed (2022), Universe of Suns (2023), Forest Floor (2025), and Underground and Air (2025), which address issues of sustainability and community reconnection. The works are designed for public spaces, so they transform with each installation. With large-scale collaborative textile works, the Škofja Loka textile designers address the increasingly relevant and pressing issues of sustainability, the living environment, and the relationships with which we build our lives. They highlight the importance of coexistence, solidarity, and active, positive action in the world.
