Windows of imagination connect local individuals and organizations in the fields of culture, art, handicrafts and the sale of unique products from Škofja Loka. This is how artists, craftsmen, photographers, illustrators, designers present themselves at sales exhibitions in various locations around the old town center of Škofje Loka and offer their products for viewing and purchase.
We want to encourage participants to make informed purchases, in which gifts and small attentions come from the local environment and are made with great care by creators. Windows of Imagination offer a holistic experience of holiday gift giving and responsible consumerism, significantly different from fast fashion and overcrowded malls. With a visit to Windows of Imagination, you will embark on the intertwining and discovery of medieval streets and squares of Škofja Loka, relaxed conversations with creators and a well-thought-out selection of unique gifts for our loved ones.
Story of Windows of Imagination has been held for the ninth year in a row. This year, you can find as many as fourteen points in the city center, which you can recognize by the playful silhouettes on the facades and in the shop windows. They are the work of the academic sculptor Matej Bizovičar and will decorate spaces of our participants: Arts&Crafts center DUO Škofja Loka, Museum of Škofja Loka with its Ivan Grohar gallery, Sokolski dom Škofja Loka, Contemporary textile hub Kreativnice, Library of Ivan Tavčarj, Studio Amuse, Paleta shop, bobbin lace gallery and shop Čipke Mojca, Rozamunda store, Jesharna, and Pr’ Pepet restaurants. We are very happy that Windows of Imagination map is expanding, namely on it you will also find Ana Bučar’s workshop, Matjaž Rešek’s workshop (J.I.M. hats) and the Linen Friday shop and workshop.

THE OPENING OF WINDOWS OF IMAGINATION WILL BE ON DECEMBER THE 1st AT 18:00 AT MESTNI TRG. WELCOME!
Windows of imagination open on Thursday, December the 1st 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
At 18:00 on the Town Square in Škofja Loka, we will start with a guided walk between our exhibition spaces,
and at 20:00 there will be a concert on the Town Square to mark the opening and beginning of the festive December.
We invite you to start the festive December together with the Windows of imagination!
