Nature, caught in fiber

The creative work of Lili Panjtar is difficult to define. Her knowledge and expression combine many different materials and techniques. Nonetheless, the majority of her work is based on interpreting the rich cultural heritage. She says she is a designer by education and a craftswoman by heart. She is responsible for the idea and development part of her work as well as the technical and production part.

Her professional experience in the textile industry comes from 20 years of work in a local textile company Odeja Škofja Loka, where she was a designer and project manager. She received many awards for her designs and installations. Since 2013 she has been self employed, working in her own LILA STUDIO in Škofja Loka. Next to graphic, product and textile design for individuals and companies she designs unique products and is a craftswoman.

The last couple of years were dedicated to discovering working with natural materials, dying, and printing with natural pigments and plants.

The exhibition shows the play of rose leaves and blackerry from Lili’s garden. She couldn’t go without the magical indigo, which she uses without any chemicals.

The exhibition will be open until the 7th of May.
