With the project In Love with Creativity, the participating partners dealing with handicrafts, cultural heritage, tourism, traditional handicraft and craft skills and modern creativity, took care of upgrading traditional handicraft skills into an adventure tourism product and entrepreneurial potential.

16:00 SHORT GUIDE TO THE “HAT” PART OF ŠKOFJA LOKA
Where: collection point on Cankarjev trg in front of the church of st. Jacob
The path will lead us past the studio of AMUSE and Kreativnice.
16:15 DISPLAY OF HAT MAKING
Where: the old Tehnik, Stara cesta 2, entrance from the parking lot by the water.
In his workshop, Matjaž Rešek will show us the process of making hats.
17:15 GUIDE TO THE HAT COLLECTION OF THE LOŠKO MUSEUM OF ŠKOFJE LOKA
Where: Loka’s museum of Škofja Loka
Curator of Ethnology Mojca Šifrer Bulovec will present hat-making through time.
18:00 THE MAIN EVENT
Where: Loka’s museum of Škofja Loka
Introductary speech of the museum’s diretor Saša Nabergoj.
Presentation of the publication Behind the Hat.
Lastly, we will watch a short film about the Šešir hat factory.
A film about Šešir and a series of films about Šešir‘s production will be on display at the Loka Museum on 22 September 2020 throughout the day.
