Andreja Stržinar creates historical costumes and reconstructions of clothes from different periods of time under the brand AS unikat. A story of the time is sewn into each piece of clothing, which the individual costume tells. Her work preserves the knowledge of traditional ways of tailoring and clothes making. The most of her work is hand-made and interdisciplinary as she combines various handicraft techniques of tailoring, sewing,
embroidery and others.
Andreja Stržinar strives for comprehensive and authentic presentation of clothing from different periods of time, while holding space for contemporary interpretations of the cultural heritage of clothing.
