Darja Rant is a designer by education, but a textile artist by heart. Fibers, fabrics and patterns are the medium of expression with which she creates under the Klobbka brand. The charm of hand printing is its unrepeatability, as expressiveness in printing goes beyond a pre-drawn pattern. She prefers endless patterns that spread across the entire surface of the fabric in a grid-like structure.
At the demonstration, you will learn about hand printing on fabric with printing paste and pigments in the screen printing technique. Through the narration, you will learn how screen printing screens are made, you will see the tools we use, mix the printing paste with pigment and print the pattern on the fabric.
