Ti moduli so študentom ponudili dragoceno priložnost, da so svoje študijsko znanje nadgradili skozi praktično delo, izmenjavo z izkušenimi mojstricami in poglobljeno raziskovanje bogate tekstilne dediščine alpskega prostora. Skozi skupno ustvarjanje, pogovore, izmenjavo znanj in tehnik je nastalo nekaj izjemnega – prostor, kjer se preteklost prepleta s sodobnostjo, in kjer dediščina postaja navdih za inovativno sodobno tekstilno oblikovanje.

These modules offered students a valuable opportunity to upgrade their academic knowledge through practical work, exchange of knowledge with experienced craftsmens and in-depth research into the rich textile heritage of the Alpine region. Through creation, discussions, exchange of knowledge and techniques, something extraordinary was created – a space where the past intertwines with the present, and where heritage becomes inspiration for innovative contemporary textile design.

As the Faculty of Design wrote: “For our faculty, such projects represent added value – not only as an upgrade of the study process, but as a priceless contact with tradition, with the community, and with the very essence of creativity. Our students had the opportunity to experience how important it is to cultivate manual skills, preserve cultural identity and at the same time develop their own modern design expression. We are infinitely grateful for the transfer of warmth, knowledge, skills and sincere conversations that marked this experience. This is what makes a difference – what enriches, connects and inspires.”

You are also invited to view the exhibited textile works, which are on display until the 14th of August 2025 as part of the BIEN textile biennial in Jesenice, Idrija and Tržič.
