In this short clay-design workshop, choose a simple item and transform it into your souvenir. You can select either a small plate or a decorative tile, both made using the slab-building technique, or a small cup created with the pinching technique. Imprint patterns inspired by Škofja Loka onto your chosen piece, add colours, and sign your creation. Due to the nature of the process, you’ll have to wait a little while for your souvenir – once the items have dried, the master will glaze them, fire them and send them to your chosen address.

Experience the translucency of porcelain in a workshop where you learn the technique of rolling porcelain, shaping with or without moulds, and creating a unique serving plate. Special attention will be given to the shape of the plate, which will be determined by its intended use and your own inspiration. You will create the final shape of the plate by adding, removing or imprinting material onto its surface, and you will also enhance the resulting textures with colours. Discover the art of assembling rolled clay slabs while creating a unique set of two or three small serving bowls. Special attention will be given to the shape and finishing details of the bowls’ rims. Master will demonstrate various surface-finishing techniques such as adding, carving, and imprinting. Using one of these techniques, you will shape the bowls in your own unique way, and if desired, you may also create handles. Due to the nature of the process, you’ll have to wait a little while for your souvenir – once the items have dried, the master will glaze them, fire them and send them to your chosen address.
